macmon NAC
macmon decides which devices may enter your network; Nova knows each person's current status. As part of an integration project, we connect the two so that network access control works from current identity data.
What the macmon NAC project integration covers
- Synchronizes identity data from Nova to macmon so network access control knows the current workforce
- Passes on status changes such as departures so the associated network access does not linger
- Brings device information from macmon together with the identities in Nova
- Logs the synchronization runs for audit purposes
Technical integration
The integration uses macmon's documented REST API with a dedicated API account. The connector is built on Nova's connector SDK as a project deliverable, and we define the exact synchronization scope together.
In the identity lifecycle
Departures and status changes from Nova's lifecycle processes reach macmon automatically, so network access control does not keep working from stale workforce data. Changes follow the same traceable processes as for every other connected system.
