CSV & File Import (AI-assisted)
The Migration Workbench imports users, roles, and entitlement assignments from your existing files: you upload the file, an AI writes a matching parser, and a trusted loader writes the data into Nova with rollback protection.
What the AI-assisted file import does
- Handles CSV, XLSX, XML, JSON, and fixed-width files; there is no template format you need to conform to.
- The AI writes a dedicated parser function for each file; if parsing fails, an automatic fix loop corrects it.
- Generated parsers run in a locked-down sandbox with no access to the database, file system, or network, plus a time limit and a record cap.
- A trusted loader validates every record before writing; each import is tracked in a rollback journal and can be fully reverted.
- Target entities are users, roles, composite roles, and assignments, which also covers exports from legacy IAM tools such as One Identity.
Technical integration
The import runs inside your Nova instance: file upload through the web UI, parser execution in a restrictive Python sandbox with a module allowlist and time limit, and writes only through the trusted loader with its rollback journal.
In the identity lifecycle
The file import is built for initial loads and legacy system replacement: one-time migration rather than a permanent feed. Imported users and entitlements are then available to access requests, recertification, and the ongoing lifecycle like any other data in Nova.
