Microsoft OneDrive
Nova governs OneDrive access through Microsoft Entra ID: the native Entra connector already handles group memberships and account status, and OneDrive-specific scope such as licensing is added in an integration project.
What the Microsoft OneDrive project integration covers
- Control who uses OneDrive through Entra groups and Microsoft 365 licenses instead of managing accounts by hand
- Request and approve OneDrive access through Nova, as an entitlement like any other
- When someone leaves, Nova disables the Entra account, which ends OneDrive access with it
- Include the groups that grant OneDrive access in regular recertification campaigns
- Extensions such as license assignment or sharing reports are scoped together as part of the project
Technical integration
The technical basis is Microsoft Graph with OAuth2 client credentials: the same connection the native Entra connector uses today. OneDrive-specific Graph calls are added during the project.
In the identity lifecycle
Joiners get OneDrive automatically through license and group assignment; leavers lose access when their Entra account is disabled. Requests and recertification run through the Entra groups that carry the access.
